Honor in the Skies
If you saw a large Air Force plane in the skies over the Chippewa Valley, the crew was here honoring the life of a local pilot.

A Chippewa Falls graduate who died in training at a Little Rock Air Force base got a tribute in the skies Wednesday.
26-year old 1st Lieutenant Jesse Alne of Elk Mound was a graduate of Chippewa Falls High School and the U.S. Air Force Academy.
He died last Wednesday.
Captain David Lann says the 62nd Airlift Squadron's C-130, based in Little Rock, flew over Alne's funeral services today in Chippewa Falls as a tribute.
Alne graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2006 and received his pilot's wings just this year.
