The Green Bay Packers are number one in a survey on home-market strength.

The 2008 Turnkey Team Brand Index put the Packers up against more than 120 other team brands in the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball. It asked 12,000 sports fans their preference. The Packers ranked fifth last year.

Turnkey says the emotional year with Brett Favre moved the Packers up. Favre announced his retirement, then changed his mind and was traded to the New York Jets.
