There is a status conference set for January 12.
Story from 2007:
Police have the man accused of scamming an elderly woman for thousands of dollars in custody.
A judge set Duane Boechler's bond at $25,000. He's accused defrauding investors in May of 2007, including an Eau Claire woman who lost $83,000. Police think he may have two other local victims and could have scammed them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Investigators say he is suspected of scamming 12 people in three other states, causing them to lose a total of $5 million dollars.
