United Way Announces Winners of 2008 Raffle
Grand prize winner drove away in a 2009 Chevy Aveo.

United Way announced the winners of its 2008 Community Campaign Raffle. John Stoneberg, the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library director, won the grand prize, a 2009 Chevy Aveo from Markquart Chevrolet. More than 2,500 people entered the campaign by donating to the United Way. Contributors had to donate at least $78 to be eligible for the raffle and at least $182 to be eligible for the car drawing. The full list of winners follows:
Susan Diel, of Charter Bank, 20” LCD TV/DVD combo, courtesy of Wal-Mart Eau Claire.
Gerald Luse, from State of WI, received a three hour trolley tour from Cody Limousine.
Susan Gardner, of Community Health Partnership, walked away with a $500 gift card to Festival Foods.
Christin Tessman with Kohl’s, won Country Jam tickets compliments of RCU.
Geoff Groh, from Xcel Energy, received Packer tickets compliments of Charter Bank.
Katie Clay of Luther Midelfort also won Packer tickets thanks to Kristo Orthodontics.
Jennifer Held from RCU won a $500 Scheels gift card.
Brian Roeker of Group Health Cooperative also received a $500 Scheels gift card.
Terri Ann Larsen, from Community Health Partnership, won flowers for a year, compliments of Avalon Floral.
The incentive of the raffle has increased awareness of the campaign and has helped United Way reach 86% of its $1.9 million dollar goal. United Way would like to thank the local businesses that donated a prize for their raffle and for investing in the community.
