Officers arrested a man in connection with a fire near a home Tuesday. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies say 49-year-old Allen O. Johnson of Ettrick was arrested at the scene.
Officers say Tuesday just after one p.m. they got a call from a woman living on Highway 12 southeast of Black River Falls. She told officers that her ex-boyfriend was trying to get into her home. When deputies got there they say the man was in a garage-type building near the home. That building was on fire. It got out of control and ended up destroying the building and damaging the siding of the home before crews put it out.
Johnson was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
