UNDATED (AP) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol says a pickup truck went out of control on slippery pavement and slid into the path of another pickup, killing the first driver and injuring the other.
It happened Tuesday afternoon just before 3 p.m. on U.S. Highway 10 in the Manitowoc County town of Cato.
The State Patrol identified the victim as 47-year-old Lyle Grall of Reedsville.
Deputy Coroner Alison Ruzek said he died instantly from a broken neck.
Earlier Tuesday, just before 6 a.m., 42-year-old Tim Palmer of New London died in a head-on crash on slippery state Highway 54 just east of Shiocton. The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department says he attempted to pass and collided with a truck going the opposite direction.
