Land Trust Hoping to Buy 120 Acres

An area land trust has applied for a grant to buy land in Chippewa County.
The West Wisconsin land trust applied for the grant from the Knowles-Nelson stewardship program.
The grant will help buy 120 acres of land in the Town of Sampson in Chippewa County.
The trust will match half of it. The land includes Dog Island lake and part of Roger Lake.
The property will be open to the public for hunting, fishing, hiking, cross-county skiing and snowshoeing.
