New Lead in Hit-and-Run Case
Campbell Police say on New Year's Eve, a van hit 55-year-old William Harter while he was walking on Clinton Street on French Island, and took off.

Police say they've got a new lead in a fatal hit and run case. Campbell Police say on New Year's Eve, a van hit 55-year-old William Harter while he was walking on Clinton Street on French Island, and took off. Harter died after he was run over by another vehicle.
Officers believe the van was a white GMC Safari and say they found one in La Crosse matching its description. Police say the van's right front side and right side mirror are damaged.
Investigators say it appears there may be hair and blood samples on the van. Officers are testing the vehicle. No one has been arrested.
