A company that makes electric motors and motor equipment is laying off about 20% of its workforce on a temporary basis.
Leaders with the LEESON Electric Corporation in Black River Falls say between 60 and 80 workers will be affected. The layoffs will last for the next couple of months. If the company's business doesn't improve, the layoffs could become permanent. The company blames the global economy for the move. The layoffs will take effect on January 19th.
