Film Crew in Downtown Eau Claire

A local film crew shut down part of Eau Claire's downtown to make some of its movie.

This was the scene at Farwell and Barstow Sunday. Wut Wut Alma Moving Pictures, an independent company, is shooting a flick called "Illegal Use of Joe Zopp."

The crew is getting a lot of video from areas around the Chippewa Valley, namely Chippewa Falls, and when it gets city council approval to shut down an entire street, that's getting into the big time, which can create bigger problems.

Kate Murray, a crew member, says"we've had issues with these bigger scenes, cars going by, we have to make sure it all lines up shot to shot, so it's been a challenge."

The crew hopes to wrap up shooting in September. Then it's on to the editing process.
