The Sawyer County Sheriff's Department says a 51-year-old Hayward man has died from exposure to cold in northern Wisconsin.
Timothy Brueggeman was known to sleepwalk and was found about 190 yards from his house near Hayward. Deputies followed the tracks of his bare feet after his son reported him missing.
Sawyer County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Tim Zeigle says Brueggeman was on prescription sleeping pills and had been in bed before he walked outside.
The temperature on Monday night into Tuesday morning in Hayward was around 28 degrees below zero.
