Police have made an arrest in a fatal hit and run on New Year's Eve.
The Campbell Police Chief says 38-year-old Rhonda Boardman was arrested early Friday morning.
Officers say on New Year's Eve, a van hit 55-year-old William Harter while he was walking on Clinton Street on French Island. The driver didn't stop. Harter died after he was run over by another vehicle.
Earlier this month, police found the van involved in the hit and run. The Police Chief says it is registered to Boardman. He says she told police she doesn't know who was driving her van that night or where it was.
Boardman is expected to appear in La Crosse County Circuit Court on Monday (1/26).
