Elderly Couple Loses Everything in Fire

A home is a total loss after a fire Friday night. The fire chief in Alma Center says crews were called to the fire on Joos Road around 10:40.
He says flames were shooting out the roof of the two-story farm house when they got there and the home is a total loss.
Chief Jeff Gaede says the home belongs to an elderly couple who no longer lives there. He says they moved into an assisted living home and a nursing home in Eau Claire. But, the chief says they lost all their belongings.
Crews were at the scene for almost five hours. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
