NEW INFORMATION: 4 officers hurt in Milwaukee van crash

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Three of four Milwaukee police officers injured in a traffic crash have been released from the hospital.

Police say the fourth officer continues to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The officers were transporting a female inmate when their van was hit by a minivan about 3:30 a.m. Monday at a Milwaukee intersection. Police say the inmate was not injured when the van hit a traffic light pole.

Authorities say the striking minivan was stolen. Its three occupants fled on foot and were arrested following a chase.

MILWAUKEE (AP) --Four police officers and an inmate have been injured in a traffic crash in Milwaukee. And, three people in the minivan that struck them are in custody.

The officers were transporting a female inmate to the hospital in a police van when they were hit by the minivan at a Milwaukee intersection about 3:30 a.m. Monday.

The police van slammed into a traffic light pole causing minor to moderate injuries to the five occupants.

WTMJ-TV reports the minivan had been stolen. The three in the minivan were arrested after a foot chase.

The police van slammed into a traffic light pole. There's no immediate word on the condition of the suspect.

WTMJ-TV reports three people in the car that struck the police van have been arrested.
