MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A 4-year-girl Milwaukee girl has been injured in an exchange of gunfire, but police say she was fortunate to escape with only a graze.
Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday as the girl was sitting on a porch with relatives. Police say they weren't the intended victims.
The girl was grazed by either a bullet fragment or pieces of a concrete pillar that was hit by a bullet.
A police statement Sunday calls her wound "very minor" and says it didn't require any treatment except for a bandage.
There were no immediate arrests, and the investigation is continuing.
