In my opinion he kinda brought it on himself. She did make a mistake going about the post though she didnt know it was illegal. The punishment should be all this public embaressment and maybe community service. All in my own opinion.

anyone else notice that the women who actually stabbed her boyfriend has had LESS coverage then this.. im going to say no because of that fact itself. Thats just stupid. I also remember when a friend in stum was molested by her dad and all the coverage there was was a little post in the leader telegram no photo no adress just listed name and in strum. I bet this comment wont get apporved because i'm right in thinking they should be more focused on actual serious crimes.

we all have been hurt in relationships, but we use better judgement. what she did was a crime and she should be punished for it.

next is she going to be using "being blond as an excuse" she did something that was wrong and should be punished. I don't care is she does not have common sense, the fact that she did something that hurt someone else.

It was wrong of Kari, but I really don't believe she should get 3 years in prison for this. Are you kidding me? I don't want to pay for that with my tax money and I really don't think it's necessary. I bet she gets a fine a probation time.

You bet she would be pressing charges! And those of you on this post who are excusing what she did, would be backing her up. It was wrong and a crime. Being angry, or hurt, or a parent are not excuses. As for the guy being a jerk, maybe he is, but it's not a crime. You have the right to choose who you want to be with...breaking up is not a crime either! Reality is SHE is the one who broke the law(even if you think it's silly) and SHE is the one who sought revenge. So, SHE is the one who needs to be held accountable.

I agree with some of the comments, she is 20 yrs old and should know better. As for 3yrs in prison is a little strong. She should get something from doing this and make her realise what she did was wrong! As for her being a mother thats not an accuse for her not to get punished, their are a lot of people in prison/jail that have kids. Maybe she should have thought about her son before she open her mouth and did it!!!

What would she do if the tables were turned? Most likely be very angry and pressing charges herself!

It's time to stop slapping her fingers and make her pay for her actions.

Her biggest mistake was not doing this in LaCrosse where an 18 year old male gets probation and community service for posting nude pictures of a 16 year old female. Does anyone see a problem with this?

im not going to say that this girl should be sent to jail, i am a female who has gotten in trouble with her ex, but there is no reason she should have done that. everyone is accountable for their actions and for her to be stupid enough to place an ad deserves something. i only know him very casually, but he is an extremely nice person who doesnt deserve to be ridiculed by strangers. think about what u would do if u got phone calls at ur work like that... what makes everyone think this girl didnt do anything to deserve punishment for her own crime???

Let me get this straight - when someone used our address as their own to skip out on their gas bill, the Altoona police couldn't give a poop. But when this young woman does something that's, let's face it, hysterical, and really doesn't cause any serious harm as long as your employer is aware of it (Craigslist stuff is pretty ephemeral), they arrest her? Nice to see the Altoona police have their priorities of what constitutes identity theft in order and who they are willing to penalize.

What the news leaves out is why she did it. I know the story because I know the people. She loved Joe and would do anything for him because of that and because shes a good person. But after 5m he finally admits to her during a fight that he has just been leading her on and using her for sex. Later when she got home she called crying and majorly upset and talked with me. When we got off the phone(12:30amish) she was still crying and trying to make sense of things and thats when she made the post. She fell asleep not long after exhausted from crying. She did try and take the post down when she woke up but it had already been removed. She even appologized to him before she new about the cops. I know all of this from talking to her and him. So don't judge her I'm sure you have done things in an emotional moment that you later regret. She's human and a good girl. He's a selfish jerk who pushed away and mistreated someone that was great for him. But like her he made a mistake.

I agree what she did was childish and she needs to act her age but prison time isn't necessary! She has a son to take care of and a life to live! She stood up for herself! Got even! Could have done it in a more mature way but still she did what she felt was right at the time! When people are angry they don't think things through! Anger brings out the worst in us!
