58-year-old Kenneth Juedes was found shot to death in his home near Unity in August of 2006.
His wife Cindy found the body. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says she is now a person of interest after further investigation.
The department says it's turning over criminal information to both sides involved in a civil lawsuit over Ken Juedes' estate and life insurance money.
Investigators aren't commenting on why she hasn't been arrested or if she will be.
The department says the investigation is still ongoing.
