Four Charged in Burglary and Arson Case in Taylor County

Three men are charged after investigators say they stole a truck, burglarized some cabins, and then started the truck on fire.

19-year-old Justin Eichelt, 18-year-old Jeffrey Giegerich and 26-year-old Terry Lukes are charged with burglary, arson, criminal damage to property, and more than 30 counts of theft.

Taylor County District Attorney, Karl Kelz, says the three stole a truck near Thorp and drove to some cabins in Taylor County. Kelz says the men stole an ATV, hunting items, and other items from one of the cabins and damaged another. They then used the truck to destroy a shed before starting the truck on fire.

The D.A. says 27-year-old David Tomczak kept the stolen items. He's charged with receiving stolen property.

The D.A. says the crimes happened in 2007 but investigators just broke the case last month.

I agree with the last comment but you better know all of your facts before you start pointing fingers at who is at fault. Considering it takes the police almost a year to look into the issue.

It was our truck that was stolen and burned by these guys. They blatantly took it right out of our yard right in town in Thorp. We live on a corner so that shows how brazen these guys were. I hope they're put away for a long time. I'm sick of these thugs getting away with this stuff and getting a slap on the wrist. Not this time. Not if we can help it.
