Unclaimed Property Tour Returns to Western WI

The state's unclaimed property outreach tour is coming back to the area.
Dawn Marie Sass will be at public libraries on Monday in Whitehall, Mondovi and Durand. Here are the times:
Whitehall: 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Mondovi: 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Durand: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, she'll be in Ellsworth and Hudson.
Ellsworth: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Hudson: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Her office says more than 21,000 people living in Buffalo, Pepin, Pierce, St. Croix and Trempealeau counties have unclaimed property totaling more than $2 million.
Sass will have the unclaimed property database at the libraries to help people search for lost and forgotten property. She says more than a million people and businesses in Wisconsin have unclaimed property. It totals more than $352 million.
