Northwest Wisconsin got a chance to weigh in on the state budget on Friday.
The Joint Committee on Finance held a day-long hearing on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The committee heard from dozens of people, from educators to students and business and community leaders.
Along with other school administrators, Eau Claire School District superintendent Dr. Ron Heilmann told the group that revenue limits are threatening public schools. The hearings give people around the state a chance to speak out about Governor Doyle’s two-year $63 billion spending plan.
More hearings will be held throughout the state next week.
