Officers say an armed robbery reported on Wednesday was made-up.
Eau Claire Police say 20-year-old Tyler Heacox told officers 26-year-old Justin Rott pointed a gun at him and stole his money. Rott was later arrested and taken into custody.
After further investigation, police discovered Heacox gave Rott and 17-year-old Krista Reddick his money in order for them to get him drugs. Police say when Rott and Reddick took off with Heacox's money, he called police with the fake story. All three were arrested for drug-related offenses.
Police are still looking for a fourth person; 20-year-old Matthew Ross, who officers believe is also involved. If you have any information, call Eau Claire Police.
