A telephone phishing scam is now targeting customers of an area bank.
Tomah Police say they've gotten reports of the scam involving Farmers and Merchants Bank.
People say the calls are from an automated system that says the bank detected some suspicious or fraudulent activity with their account. It then asks them for specific account or credit card information.
Farmers and Merchants bank says this is a scam and customers shouldn't release any information.
As you may remember, a handful of other banking companies' names have also been used by the scammers.
