Firefighters in Western Wisconsin had their hands full Tuesday afternoon when a grass fire broke out. The smoke could be seen for miles. It happened about 4 p.m. at County Highway BC and Harbor Road, just outside Sparta in Monroe County.
The Bangor Fire Department says at least three fire departments were called out. Crews even called in a plane to drop water on the fire. So far, there's no word on how much land was burned, but we're told no one was hurt.
