Polk County Cashier Shot In Face During Robbery

A robber wearing a Halloween mask and camouflage shot a Polk County convenience store clerk in the face on Tuesday.

It happened at the Stop-a-Sec Store in Cushing.
Sheriff's deputies say the robber shot the 18-year-old woman just below her eye with a pellet handgun and took some money.
She called 9-1-1 and was treated at a Saint Croix Falls hospital.

Deputies are looking for a white man about five foot eight with a slender build. They say he was driving a gray or silver four-door car—probably an older Buick or Oldsmobile.
