One search warrant leads officers to three arrests and stolen property.
Jeff Wilson with the drug task force says officers arrested Sharon Johnson, Melissa Homme, and Kelly Steinert on Monday. Wilson says the case started in New Auburn during a search of Johnson’s car, officers found 7 grams of methamphetamine worth about $1400.
Wilson says Homme asked officers what was going on and later gave them permission to search her house, where the task force found more meth and drug paraphernalia.
Interviews with both women led to another search warrant in St. Croix County. Wilson says that's where investigators found convicted felon Kelly Steinert and arrested him in New Richmond.
Investigators found a gun, more meth, and stolen property at Steinert's house. Wilson says Steinert stole tools, a chop saw, and a four wheeler. The case is still under investigation.
