Nearly 35,000 used books were on sale this weekend, with the profits going to help some local women.

The American Association of University Women held their annual book sale at the Eau Claire County Expo Center.
>
After collecting books for six weeks, the group says they were able to gather enough books to fill a 26-foot truck.
>
Book lovers came out to get some new reads and help support the A.A.U.W.
>
"The proceeds from the book sale go to support our other activities,” Barbara Radke with the A.A.U.W. said. “And last year we were able to give out scholarships to four women here at Eau Claire. They are non-traditional women, over the age of 23 that are returning to college."
>
Radke says they got some help hauling all of the books from the UW-Eau Claire men’s hockey team.
