Thank you for added sunshine on an already sun shiny day. I wish this is all the police had to do. Too bad they're stuck working with humanity, that is so intent on making them look bad. Im glad whoever it was that took the time to help these little ones.
Resourceful - have a little compassion. If you are the type of person who can turn a blind eye to a duck who is frantic because her babies unknowingly fell into a storm sewer...then you have a problem. I agree with the other posts...nice to see the caring side of humanity for once.
ECPD doing what it does best ! Glad to see our tax dollars protecting us !
In response to the comment posted by "Resourceful" I just have this to say: This call was handled by Community Service Officers, not sworn officers, which handle animal complaints and parking enforcement duties which would otherwise consume the time of other officers. The complaint was an animal related one, so therefore it was CSOs that responded (two total). If you consider the officers doing their job a waste of resources, then I suggest that the next time you are bitten by a dog or someone is parked so you cannot move your vehicle, you bite your tongue because you don't want to waste resources getting the issue resolved.
Awww.... that is so cute. We have good people here. Thank you to whoever stepped up and helped them out and on their way.
It's nice to see "Good News" in the headlines for once - it's a great feeling to know that we can still appreciate the simple happy endings in life. Also, thank you to the EC PD for helping out these little babies and for not seeing it as an "unimportant" issue :) Cute Story!!
Well worth our resources to have X amount of officers bail out ducks who got stuck in a drain. Aren't we strapped for cash as it is?
