Deputies say a man died in a brush fire on Monday.
The Portage County Sheriff's Department says the death of 91-year-old Paul Schoenek was accidental. Deputies say it happened just after 2:30 p.m. on State Highway 34 near Junction City.
The department says it looks like Schoenek had been tending to a small burning pile. He had full body burns. Schoenek was pronounced dead at the scene.
