Colby Middle School teacher Michele Stewart won the honor of the 2006 Milken National Educator Award. Stewart is only in her third year of teaching in the Colby School District but has made a huge impact by running a club two nights a week for students to brush up on their reading and studying. The entire school kept the award a secret until an assembly held today where Stewart was surprised with the honor.
