A thunderstorm dumped a layer of hail on part of Barron County Tuesday afternoon.
Linda Moen from Prairie Farm took the first two amazing pictures below around 4:15 p.m. She took them 4 miles north of Prairie Farm along County Highway F.
She says the nickel and dime-sized hail stones covered the road and looked more like snow. She says it happened in about 10 minutes time.
The third photo below is from Vern and Sharon Nelson who live about 5 miles north of Prairie Farm.
The fourth photo was taken in Buffalo County by Scott Cameron on 5/13/09.
"I got caught in a storm down in Buffalo county at about 5:00PM and we had significant hail accumulation. I think there was 6-8 inches of hail around this one area!"
