Andrea, I had Ivan as a student at Eisenhower Elementary in Hopkins and I think of him often because he was such a wonderful person and student. I also had his brother Ernesto in my class another year. Please tell their parents I am thinking about them and so sorry to hear about the accident. My heart goes out to you and your family. It is a terrible loss for everyone.
Andrea- I had Ivan as a student at Hopkins High and everything you say about him is spot on. I'll add to it that he was passionate, talented, and charming. He was definitely one of my favorite students. Please pass on the best wishes and sympathies of all who worked with him at Hopkins to your family. This is a terrible and senseless loss.
What happened to these guys is not to be taken lightly. This shows how important it is to not drive in the middle of the night even with a hint of sleep. IT'S NOT FAIR! Ivan was a good guy. Funny, caring, and so young! His loss is tragic to everyone in my family and he will never be forgotten! He is now in a good place in heaven with pure happiness surrounding him so for that we are doing better. As their cousin I want everyone to know that I loved my cousin very much and will miss him every day. He was like my big brother. Again, It's not fair. We all pray that Ivan is happier now and that Eric will get better soon. He is currently in surgery for his arms. He did not suffer any deadly hits and we are sure that he will be back to the funny carismatic person he always was. Pray for Eric but do not fret. My cousins were and will always be strong. Ivan will continue his life watching over us and Eric will continue his life making us laugh and bringing smiles to everyone. God Bless-Andrea
