For the second time in a week, investigators have reopened a death investigation. Crawford County Sheriff, Jerry Moran, says investigators are looking into the death of Brian Dietrich. He was last seen near Prairie du Chien and walking toward Iowa in October of 1993. His body was found on Memorial Day of 1994, on Indian Isle, a small island on the Mississippi River. Original autopsy results show he drowned.
Sheriff Moran says the death is now being treated as suspicious. Last Wednesday, deputies exhumed the body of Kenneth Allington in Prairie du Chien and are waiting for autopsy results.
