Two teens were thrown from their vehicle after hitting a utility pole and breaking it in half.
The Monroe County Sheriffs Department says 18-year-old driver Chase Crume of Viroqua and his passenger, 16-year-old Sarah Nelson were driving southbound on State Highway 27 just before 7 Friday evening when the crash happened.
Deputies say Crume was driving when he veered to the left, went down through a ditch and hit a utility pole.
Both Crume and Nelson were thrown from the vehicle, neither were wearing their seatbelts.
They were both taken to a La Crosse area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
