Bond is set for a former daycare provider accused of stealing thousands from the state of Wisconsin.
36-year-old Sarah D. Wiley of Altoona had her initial appearance Thursday morning in Eau Claire County court. A judge set bond at $1,000.
Wiley is charged with felony theft of more than $10,000. According to the criminal complaint, while Wiley owned and operated the Great Beginnings Child Care Center she billed the state for kids she didn't take care of as often as she reported.
The child care center has been under different ownership since 2008.
Wiley will be back in court in mid-June.
