A major building project on the UW-Eau Claire campus has cleared another hurdle. On Friday, the state legislature's joint finance committee approved $44 million to replace Brewer Hall. Local legislators say construction is set to start by July 1st of 2011. The new building will replace Brewer Hall which was built back in 1952. The full legislature and the governor still have to approve the funding.
