A family remembers an elderly woman murdered in Sawyer County as a great mother and wonderful grandmother.
Investigators say 93-year-old Irena Roszak was repeatedly stabbed and hit with a chair while she begged for her life in what they're calling a "thrill killing."
Peggy Roszak, who lives in Florida, says her mother-in-law was an avid gardener who never drove a car, spoke little English and mostly kept to herself. She says the 93-year-old was in good health when she was killed earlier this month.
27-year old Christopher Roalson is charged with her murder. A 15 year old is charged with being party to a crime. Investigators say Roalson referred to himself as the "son of Satan." Both will be in court in June.
