10-Year-Old Boy Hit by Truck

A 10-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Wednesday after he was hit by a truck. It happened around three p.m. on 10th Street and Hayden Avenue in Altoona. Police Chief, Todd Chaney, says the boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk when he turned onto the road in front of the oncoming truck. The truck was driving at about 20 miles per hour when it hit the boy. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver was not cited.
