More than 1,300 law enforcement officers are hitting the streets all over Wisconsin. It's the 2009 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. On Wednesday afternoon, officers from all over the Chippewa Valley converged at the Leinie Lodge in Chippewa Falls. The local group of about 80 participants biked and rode horseback from Stanley and Bloomer to the brewery, meeting up with other participants from around the area. Officers from all over Wisconsin will serve as 'Guardians of the Flame' until the Lighting of the Cauldron at the Special Olympics Summer Games opening ceremony Thursday at UW-Stevens Point.
