A merger between two school districts is one step closer to reality. At a joint meeting between the Weyerhaeuser and Chetek school boards, both groups passed a resolution to formally consider consolidating.
Weyerhaeuser Superintendent Chris Nelson says they had to do it in order to pass an order to consolidate. He says the boards will meet again next month to take action on the order to consolidate.
