There's an effort underway in Wisconsin to ban the sale of baby bottles and kids cups that are made with a certain chemical.
Democratic Senator Julie Lassa of Stevens Point is one of the lawmakers who are getting ready to introduce a BPA free kids act. It would ban the manufacturing and sale of Bisphenol-A in the bottles and cups. Lassa says scientists are concerned about the impact of BPA on the development of infants and young children. They claim the federal government failed to protect kids from BPA.
If the bill becomes law, Wisconsin would become the third state to ban the sale of bottles and cups for children made with Bisphenol A.
