Investigators are trying to figure out how a trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol died at an assisted living facility.
Trooper Jorge Dimas was found unresponsive in his room at Riverband in Amery on Sunday. Dimas died by the time an ambulance got there. He had been recovering at the facility since early last month. That’s when Dimas was injured in a crash in Frederic. He was on-duty at the time. An autopsy was done on Dimas on Tuesday. A cause of death wasn't determined.
Investigators say it will be at least there weeks before they get further test results.
