HMMM could the smoking ban have anything to do with it closing?????
Another place to get drunk and fight? Have fun living with little culture as musical acts that bring talent to this city will go elsewhere. It is people like you that makes city a gray dull lifeless pit of despair.
The last thing we need is people going down there "one last time" to get drunk and get into fights causing trouble.
no loss for me
Another local treasure allowed to be consumed by the big money monster. Sad. Maybe someday us humans will learn to appreciate things without feeling the need to place a price tag on them.
A non-alcoholic concert venue (so others can get in) would be a great asset to the city. The fact that you had to be 21 to get into the stonesthrow hurt it greatly by the college crowd and the city of Eau Claire should look to change that policy so it can create venues like The Rave in Milwaukee
what a sad day it is
This is a sad event. I know one of the owners personally and I know that they have been working extremely hard to come up with a solution that will keep the doors open. Unfortunately they have no choice but to call it quits. I think the best thing we can do is to help them go out with a bang. Come down to The Stones Throw on the 20th and show them that you have appreciated their efforts over the last 3 years. This could be the last time anyone will party at The Stones Throw!
