Demand For Health Care Workers
A new report says Wisconsin hospitals have a demand for health care positions, such as pharmacists and physical therapists.

|
A new report from the Wisconsin Hospital Association says its members are struggling to fill a variety of positions, including hospital-based pharmacists.
>
The association's report says the demand is rising for pharmacists, while the number entering the profession is dropping.
>
Admissions at Wisconsin's only pharmacy school, U-W Madison, have remained flat for five years. Some hospitals spend as much as a year recruiting nationwide before filling pharmacy vacancies.
>
The hospital group says there's also demand for physical therapists, radiologic technologists, nurses and even doctors.
>
The report's author says the vacancies can cause delays or access to health care and medication.
