The Wisconsin fast food restaurant chain known for its butter burgers, fried chicken and frozen custard is concerned about your health.

So, Culver's will stop using trans fat oils at its 345 restaurants in the Midwest and Texas.

The chain based in Prairie du Sac started reducing trans fats a couple years ago.

The city of New York on Tuesday became the first city in the nation to ban the unhealthy trans fats at its restaurants. Culver's also announced it will begin using zero grams trans fat cooking oil on March first.

The artery-clogging trans fat is linked to heart disease. Partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is a common form of trans fat and is used for frying, baking and in processed foods.
