Police were lead on a foot chase early Thursday morning.
Mondovi police received a call just before 3:30 a.m. of two males knocking on a door and ringing a doorbell. It happened on Morningside Drive in Mondovi.
A female in the house told police she saw two males outside her house trying to break into her car. She then called 911. Officer Laura Hawkins says when police arrived at the home the suspects fled on foot. Eau Claire, Trempealeau and Buffalo police were called in to assist in the chase. The officers circled the area but are still looking for the suspects. They say at least one of the men was wearing a black sweatshirt, white shorts and tan work boots.
