A groundbreaking was held today in Eau Claire to build a home for those suffering from memory loss.

The Memory Care Facility on East Hamilton Avenue will feature suites equipped with "personalized memory boxes". The facility will create up to 28 new jobs to care for those suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s and other diseases of the mind.

Construction for the facility should last 7 or 8 months and they expect to have it ready at the end of next summer. A total of 34 residents will be able to live there.
