The idea to have county workers take time off without pay will be back up for discussion on Wednesday.
The Eau Claire County Committee on Human Resources will discuss possible furloughs for all county employees at its meeting on Wednesday, June 24.
The agenda says the committee may make a recommendation to the county board. The county board was slated to take it up earlier this month, but did not take any action.
It would require employees take a furlough one work day every other pay period, for a total of 13.
