'Juneteenth' in Eau Claire

Dozens came out to Carson Park in Eau Claire Friday night to celebrate “Juneteenth".
The event is part of the oldest known celebration of the end of slavery.
On June 19 in 1865, Union soldiers in Galveston, Texas told the last slaves the Civil War had ended and they were now free.
Friday night, people celebrated with a dinner and live music.
City Council member Beryle Middleton says Eau Claire is one of only three cities in the state with a celebration like this.
