Deputies arrested two men and a juvenile in connection with a string of burglaries.
The Vernon County Sheriff says 19-year-old Michael Eales of La Farge, and 19-year-old James McCullick of La Farge were arrested on June 17. Sheriff Gene Cary says the department turned the third suspect over to juvenile officers.
The sheriff says someone broke into the Lawton Memorial Library, VFW and Lions’ concession stands, and the Village Park registration stand in La Farge between June 9 and the 15. Investigators say the suspects took cash and food. A deputy found information about the crimes during an unrelated investigation. The sheriff says that lead to the arrests.
Neither suspect is charged in the case.
