An Oshkosh restaurant that had its window smashed in by a car, is preparing to reopen Tuesday after a day of repairs.

Sergeant Matt Kroening says the car's driver, a 77-year-old man, apparently got his cane tangled with the steering wheel and mistakenly hit the accelerator. Police say the man's granddaughter was also in the car, and neither of them was hurt.

But four people in the restaurant were hurt, including a woman expected to spend a few more days in the hospital recovering from a cut to the head, a broken rib and bruises. Three others had lesser injuries, including a four-year-old girl with a broken foot.
